MÖTLEY CRÜE Drummer Utters 'Blasphemous' Words During GODS OF METAL Appearance

June 8, 2007

Italian news blog Musica Metal has posted video footage of a controversial moment that occurred during MÖTLEY CRÜE's appearance at last weekend's Gods of Metal festival in Italy when drummer Tommy Lee stood up from behind his drum kit and and spoke to the crowd in Italian — only the words coming out of his mouth were "blasphemies," which offended a large portion of the audience.

According to Musica Metal, Tommy Lee normally finds out before each show in every country what the most outrageous words in their language are in order to get a "cheap laugh" out of the crowd during the concert — only this time, a girl suggested to him to utter "vulgar epithets against God."

The footage, which is causing a lot of controversy and debate in Italy right now, can be seen at YouTube.
